European Entrepreneurs, become a Business Angel! BAE presents ESIL opportunities at Inno Génération in Paris

On 12 October, BPI France organised the third edition of its Inno Génération conference in Paris, an annual event dedicated to entrepreneurship and ecosystems that is the biggest of its kind in the country. This year more than 35,000 entrepreneurs and hundreds of speakers gathered in the French capital to discuss challenges of today and solutions for tomorrow.

Under the theme “transformation of the world”, the conference cut across many pertinent topics and introduced examples and case studies from different parts of Europe and the world.

BAE was represented by its honorary chairman and board member Philippe Gluntz and its CEO Marie-Elisabeth Rusling. As part of the ‘Europe workshop’ they introduced the ESIL project and spoke about the function of business angels, support to entrepreneurs wishing to become one and the support tools provided by the EU ESIL programme. Philippe Gluntz gave an interview to French newspaper Les Echos on angel investment and business angels' role supporting start-ups. On the recurring question of "what about women?", BAE explained the typical obstacles limiting female angel investment, drawing from the latest research (summer 2017) undertaken as part of the EU funded  WomenAngels4Entrepreneurs project in 6 European countries.
